Who Cares for the Caregivers?
First responders, healthcare workers, and caregivers spend their lives supporting others through crisis, trauma, and exhaustion. Back Porch Sanctuary exists to give them a place to breathe again.

Those Who Serve Others Rarely Have A Place To Heal

Every day, caregivers carry the emotional weight of helping others through their worst moments.
-
First responders witnessing tragedy
-
Nurses and healthcare workers facing burnout
-
Family caregivers supporting loved ones through illness
-
Mental health professionals absorbing the pain of others
They show up when we need them most.
But when the day ends, who takes care of them?
Burnout, emotional fatigue, and trauma are increasingly common among those who dedicate their lives to serving others.
Back Porch Sanctuary exists to change that.
A Sanctuary Designed for Rest, Healing, and Reflection
Back Porch Sanctuary will be a peaceful retreat where caregivers can step away from the noise of daily life and reconnect with themselves.
Imagine a quiet property surrounded by nature where caregivers can:
-
Sit in serenity and breathe deeply
-
Walk peaceful trails
-
Spend quiet time reflecting and restoring
-
Connect with others who understand the weight they carry
No alarms.
No emergencies.
No demands.
Just space to recover.

What We Need
Help Us Create the First Back Porch Sanctuary
To bring this vision to life, Back Porch Sanctuary is seeking a generous founding donor who can help establish the sanctuary.
We are currently seeking:
🏡 A donated home or property with land
Ideally a peaceful rural or semi-rural setting where caregivers can retreat from daily stress.
💙 Foundational financial support
Approximately 2–3 years of operating support to help launch the program and begin serving caregivers.
This founding gift would allow the sanctuary to open its doors and begin helping those who spend their lives helping others.
Why This Matters
The Impact of Your Gift
A single property donation could create a sanctuary that serves caregivers for decades.
Your gift could help:
• Prevent burnout among first responders
• Support healthcare workers struggling with stress
• Give family caregivers a place to reset
• Strengthen the people who support our communities every day
Your generosity will ripple through countless lives.
Because when caregivers are supported, entire communities become stronger.
